Senior’s Programs

Regular exercise can help older adults stay independent and prevent many health problems that come with age. It also helps your muscles grow stronger so you can keep doing your day-to-day activities without becoming dependent on others.

Older adults should move more and sit less throughout the day. Keep in mind, some physical activity is better than none. Older adults who sit less and do any amount of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity gain some health benefits. Your health benefits will also increase with the more physical activity that you do.

Some of the Other Health Benefits of Moving Regularly for Seniors:

  • Improves your strength and helps you stay independent.
  • Improves your balance, which prevents falls.
  • Gives you more energy.
  • Prevents or delays diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, or osteoporosis.
  • Improve your mood and fight off depression.
  • Improve cognitive function.

Bellefleur Fitness has a dedicated senior’s program that is designed and administered by a team of professionals.

SENIOR STRONG

Designed and supervised by a registered Physiotherapist alongside a qualified rehab assistant, these classes will help to increase your fitness so that you are less out of breath, feeling stronger, reduce the likelihood of falling, stay mobile, reduce aches and pains, and continue living more independently.

Classes can be taught both seated and standing based on the client’s mobility.

Program Outline

  • 4 weeks (2 x per week)
  • 8 x 45-minute exercise sessions that combine easy-to-follow low-impact cardio movements, upper-body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching, and relaxation.

$360 

($45 per class)
